4th European Film Festival, organised by Delegation of the European Union to Serbia, EU Info Centre and Dom omladine Beograda, sets about tonight with the screening of No One’s Child by Vuk Rsumovic.
Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport opened the manifestation, saying that he is very proud of the fact that the Festival is being opened by a film co-produced by Serbia and Croatia and awarded at Venice Film Festival.
I have information, and I sure hope it is true, that No One’s Child is the most awarded film in the history of Serbian cinematography, Davenport said.
Rsumovic said that the film told a story about the period that had sealed the faith of his generation, adding the film was his “intimate way of saying something about that period”.
Lasting until 24 May, the Festival will present 19 films co-produced or produced in their entirety by 22 EU Member States.
This year’s laureates of the leading international festivals – Cannes, Berlin, Venice and Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival – found their place among the selected films.
Entrance to all projections is free, granted you have obtained free tickets in Hall of Dom omladine or via social networks.
Following European Film Festival in Belgrade, the Festival will be organised in Novi Sad, Nis, Zrenjanin, Vranje and Prokuplje.
