Project sustainability, that is what happens once a project ends, developing partnership with other organisations, innovative ideas, visibility and sound budgeting ・ these were the topic covered by the first in a series of conferences European projects from ideas to implementation, organised jointly by EU Info Point Novi Sad and EU Delegation to Serbia.

Blue Hall of the City Council failed to receive all representatives of Novi Sad and Vojvodina’s CSOs who recognised the importance of the event and took an active part in analysing the methodology behind applying for EU funds. The event saw the presentation of projects within IPA programme, Europe for Citizens as well as the Youth in Action programme.

Representatives from organisations continuously implementing EU projects – Environmental Engineers, Balkan Idea Novi Sad, Centre for Youth Work and European Movement in Serbia – disseminated relevant information on European programmes and projects, potential funding sources, as well as the importance of partnership development, sustainability, innovation and budgeting. Then they shared the experience they had gained and stressed the obstacles encountered as well as challenges faced. Also, they shared their recommendations and advice on what stood behind the success of their projects.

Participants from Novi Sad, Indjija, Aradac, Seleus, Subotica, Becej, Novi Becej, Sremski Karlovci, Vrsac, Kovacica, Zrenjanin and Vrbas were explained a few EU programmes, their purpose and goals, and then pointed to the details important when writing, applying for funds and implementing projects, by Marija Popovic, member of EU Delegation’s expert body, Team Europe.

EU Info Point Novi Sad will remain engaged in these topics, so the conference was merely an introduction to forthcoming activities, including education, information, bringing Vojvodina citizens closer to possibilities offered by EU programmes.
