A public call for applications within IPARD for investments in physical assets of agricultural holdings – purchase of new machinery and equipment – was launched today (25 December) and will run through 26 February 2018.

The public call for the purchase of new tractors will be launched on 4 January 2018, with the same deadline (26 February 2018).

The incentives will vary from 60-80 per cent of the total costs, depending on whether the applicant is a young farmer; whether the agricultural holding is located in a mountainous area; or whether the investment is aimed at waste and wastewater management.

The call covers the dairy, meat, fruit and vegetables sectors and a number of other crops (certain species of grains and industrial crops).

The incentives for beneficiaries in the fruit, vegetable and other crops sectors vary from EUR5,000-700,000, whereas the beneficiaries in the dairy and meat sector will receive incentives ranging from EUR5,000-1,000,000.

Eligible investments and costs cover the purchase of new machinery, equipment and tractors as well as general expenses (project and technical documentation preparation).
