Within the Europe Day celebration and “Open Doors” manifestation, the Embassy of Finland to Serbia hosted students of Political Sciences Faculty, who talked to Ambassador and toured around the embassy building, constructed before World War II.

Finland believes Serbia and other Western Balkans countries share common values of the EU, such as respect towards human rights and freedom of movement, Ambassador of Finland in Belgrade Pekka Orpana told the students.

He pointed out that Finland stood ready to help Serbia in the process of EU accession, and that he was personally engaged in membership negotiations as he so far gained a lot of diplomatic experience.

The Ambassador informed students about the Finnish lifestyle, education and economy, whereas they wanted to know more about the conditions of schooling and language learning possibilities.

Finnish Ambassador told Serbian students that universities in Finland were open to international students and offered curricula in English language as well.
