Within the EU-funded project „Public property management,“ implemented by the Standing conference of towns and municipalities under the EU Exchange 4 programme, administrative staff of Novi Sad and Apatin have participated in a training, alongside with staff from other institutions in this city/municipality involved in real estate inventory and registration activities.
Apart from being introduced to their obligations envisioned within the Law on public property, especially to the obligation of registration, trainees were also explained the necessity of establishing a close cooperation among all the entities engaged in property management.
The project is worth over EUR147.000 and its key activities are development of study on the application of methodology of property inventory and managament in Novi Sad; aranging the inventory of real estates entitled to the right of public property; IT equipment procurement; development of a property management and data entry software application for the City of Novi Sad and the Municipality of Apatin; Novi Sad and Apatin’s request submission to the Republic Directorate for Property so as to obtain a confirmation that all of the listed real estates are now registered with the Unified records of state-owned property.
Implementation of the aforementioned activities will contribute to a higher level of expert capacities and a more efficient work of adminstrative staff in these local governments, regarding the processes of inventory, registration, as well as public property management, with the aim of economic development of the City of Novi Sad and the Municipality of Apatin.
