On the occasion of International Roma Day, 8 April, exhibition “Yes, It’s Me”, representing the most famous Roma in the world, opened at Radio Kafe in Novi Sad on 3 April. Following the exhibition, group KAL held concert. The entire event was organised by Novi Sad EU Info Point.

Marking the International Roma Day enables Roma culture and tradition to be preserved, as well as better understanding of Roma and their culture, but also makes a contribution to the efforts made by the State to integrate Roma at the local level, which was the primary goal of the manifestation.

The exhibition was opened by Miroslav Vasin Deputy Prime Minister of the Provincial Government/Provincial Secretary for Economy, Employment and Gender Equality, Slavica Denic Assistant Secretary for Economy, Employment and Gender Equality, and Dragan Ristic Director of Romany Culture Centre from Belgrade.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Provincial Government Miroslav Vasin said the exhibition was the best possible introduction to International Roma Day showing the size of Roma imprint on human history. He also said that, through various programmes, Provincial Government managed to make significant steps towards recognising the issues of Roma and the ways to assist them.
