A photo exhibition entitled How Green is Europe showcasing some of the best examples of the environmental protection in the European Union, which was designed and produced by the “Pulse of Europe” project, opened on October 30 at the High School in the city of Valjevo.
The exhibition, set up in the hall in front of the high school library, was opened by Nataša Dragojlović, an expert in European integration and member of the Advisory Board of the project, and Marina Rakić, team leader of the Pulse of Europe project. The opening was attended by many students, and was held in the presence of the professors as well as of the manager of the library, Slađana Marijanac. Opening the exhibition, Nataša Dragojlović expressed her satisfaction that, as a former student of the Valjevo High School, she had the opportunity to address the students, to whom she said they would remember school years and quality education received for a long time. She also told the students to take an interest in Europe and its examples, such as those offered by the exhibition. On behalf of the project, Marina Rakić said that she hopes that the exhibition would encourage thinking about some good examples of environmental protection at the local level.
After the opening, a “student class” was held in the library, but not with the participation of professors, but of young journalists – participants in media trips and students. Katarina Pantelić, a journalist of Radio Television of Serbia, and Denis Ranđečović, a journalist of Pirot Television, talked to the students about their experiences when visiting European countries and exchanged views with them.
The exhibition showing photos and accompanying texts about the best examples of environmental protection in the Czech Republic, Sweden, Portugal, Estonia and Denmark will be displayed in the Valjevo High School until 15 November.
Previously, the same exhibition, whose authors are journalists-participants of media trips organised by the Pulse of Europe project, was displayed in the premises of the Goethe-Institut in Belgrade, from 22 August to 28 October.
