We dedicate the last evening in October to: sweets, candles, pumpkins, scary stories and good fun, because we celebrate – Halloween. In Belgrade, in the Cultural Institution Parobrod (Kapetan Mišina 6a), a fun fair for all generations.

Join us for the most creative night of the year.

From 7:00pm: Night for the youngest. We expect children to come to us in costumes for creative workshops, masking, make-up, to hear short lectures about horror and entertainment with specialised animators of the European Language Center.

We have provided prizes for the most creative and curious, and a special event will be a costume review during which the jury will select the three best costumes and award them.

From 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.: “Poetics of Horror” – lecture by Dr. Dejan Ognjanović, writer and theorist.

“On the original meaning of Halloween” – lecture and film inserts by Nenad Bekvalac, doctoral student at FDU, film critic and co-author of the cult show “Shock Corridor”. Learn all about the meaning and transformation of “Halloween” from the European tradition to the Americanised form.

Halloween is the result of an authentic European (Celtic) tradition: In today’s Ireland and Scotland, beliefs were conceived that survived even the strengthening of the influence of Christianity.

From 10 p.m.: “Scary great music” – the famous DJ Gavra has prepared a Halloween playlist and creates a good atmosphere.

Be prepared: smiles, masks and a bit of fear of the dark – we (a)wait for you with pumpkin juice!
