“When they received their first salary (after 15 years)… when they received the message that the money was lying… – you could see smiles and tears on their faces at the same time. We gave these women hope and, most importantly, we gave them dignity. ”

These women pick and process fruits and vegetables by hand, on ordinary stoves and in small pots. They come from the countryside and from marginalised groups. They got a job in the social enterprise Radanska ruza from Lebane (Southern Serbia), which was founded with the support of the European Union.

So far, the EU has supported 200 micro and small enterprises with EUR 4.3 million through the EUPRO program.
