The TreninGO “Run for School” challenge officially began during the European Sports Week on Saturday, September 28 at 7pm and ends on November 15 at 7pm.
The challenge is jointly organized by the Olympic Committee of Serbia, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Federation for School Sports of Serbia and the European Union. 14 schools from Serbia, which need help in sports equipment and equipment for improving physical education teaching, take part in the challenge.
At the BeActive Night event held on September 28th. at the Tasmajdan Training Park, the challenge of was officially presented, with 14 runners symbolically running for 14 schools, marking the start of the competition.
Schools participating in the challenge are:
- „Jovan Grčić Milenko“ – Beočin
- „Janko Jovićević“ – Goraždevac
- „Jovan Popović“ – Kikinda
- „Vasa Pelagić“ – Padež, Kruševac
- „Branko Radičević“ – Negotin
- „Živko Ljujić“ – Nova Varoš
- „Nikola Tesla“ – Pančevo
- „Đura Jakšić“ – Paraćin
- „8. septembar“ – Pirot
- „Aca Sinadinović“ – Predejane
- „Branislav Nušić“ – Smederevo
- „Laza Kostić“ – Gakovo, Sombor
- „Dositej Obradović“ – Vranje
- „Petar Petrović Njegoš“ – Zrenjanin
The first three kilometers-long schools will win prizes from the EU – sports equipment and props worth:
1st place – 300,000 RSD
2nd place – 200,000 RSD
3rd place – 100,000 RSD
The awards will be presented at the final conference of the European Sport Week, which will take place at the Sport Fair, which runs from November 22nd to 24th, 2019.
Anyone can take part in the challenge by downloading the free app of the Olympic Committee of Serbia – Training (for iOS and Android), register, and then choose the school for which they will run and thus donate their kilometers. Embassies of EU member states are also actively participating in this unusual race.
