A fully functional national victim support network is key to helping victims of crime go through the criminal justice process in the least stressful manner and to supporting their recovery.
Establishing a comprehensive victim support system along with effective referral mechanisms represent standards that the judiciary, police, victim support providers and policy makers strive to achieve.
Local institutions and victim support providers in Serbia will continue receiving support in strengthening victims’ rights through this project, as part of the European Union and OSCE Mission to Serbia‘s larger efforts to increase respect for human rights as well as procedural guarantees in criminal justice.
