The Pulse of Europe – Media Trips to EU project informs media outlets and journalists in Serbia that organisation of individual media trips, for which a Call for Proposals was issued at the beginning of the year, is temporarily suspended. The Call was open during all the time of the project implementation and a large number of Serbian journalists showed interest and participated in the programme. As the plan for this type of project activity has been fulfilled, organisation of new individual media trips, which involve a journalist reporting independently from one of the European Union countries, will be temporarily suspended – until the end of the year of 2023.

A new call for participation will be published at the beginning of 2024.

The project continues to organise group media trips to the countries of the EU, the region as well as Eastern Partnership countries. Group media trips are thematic. In organising group media trips this is the project that invites media outlets to participate.

Pulse of Europe – Media Trips to EU is financed by the European Union; the project is implemented by a consortium led by the Goethe Institute in cooperation with the Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia (NUNS) and the Center for Cultural Decontamination (CZKD). The project started in February 2020 and after the first cycle of activities that lasted to December 2022, the second phase is underway, until June 2024.
