Katapult is launching the third cycle of its acceleration program for 23 selected startups. Through an intensive three-month program, the new startups will have the opportunity to advance their businesses and prepare for presentations to investors. During the program, participants will develop their skills with mentors, actively participate in educational workshops, and gain access to investors.
Additional financial support from the Innovation Fund up to EUR 300,000 is available to Katapult startups who secure a qualified investment by March 11, 2025.
The independent expert commission has selected a new Katapult cohort, composed of highly motivated individuals who are successful professionals and serial entrepreneurs. Focused on sales and growth, startups are developing convincing innovative solutions for various industrial sectors and have a high potential to successfully scale their businesses with the support of the Katapult program.
Katapult is implemented by the Innovation Fund and the World Bank which actively participates in the program’s realisation and financial support, in collaboration with the Republic of Serbia and the European Union. The results of previous cycles clearly demonstrate the exceptional innovative potential of our startup community. With more than EUR 20 million raised in investments, half of the participants in the Katapult program have already made progress toward realizing their full potential.
In addition to financial support, startups have access to advisory support from experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders, including access to a large network of investors. This wide range of support encourages startups to continue innovating and developing new products, creating additional value for users, increasing market potential, and ensuring sustainable long-term growth.
Investment potential has been realised through successful collaboration between the Innovation Fund, the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, the World Bank, and the European Union. Powerful synergy enables significant support for our startups in their fast growth and development.
Financing for Katapult is provided by the Republic of Serbia (Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation), through a 7.7 million euro World Bank loan with implementation support, and the European Union, through a 10 million euro grant. The program is part of the “Serbia Accelerating Innovation and Growth Entrepreneurship Project,” dedicated to strengthening innovative entrepreneurship and scientific research.
