More than 30 librarians gathered at the Rectorate of University of Novi Sad on the occasion of first seminar “Libraries as Key Source of Quality Information about European Union” organised by EU Info Point Novi Sad and Delegation of European Union to Serbia.

The seminar discussed various subjects: what citizens think about and expect from the EU, the role of librarians in providing quality information about EU and experience in applying for EU funds. Panellists at the seminar were Dubravka Savic of EU Delegation to Serbia, Ivana Djuric of Serbian European Integration Office, representatives of libraries and EU Info Centres from Novi Sad and Belgrade.

Librarians from Vojvodina had an opportunity to get familiar with the role of libraries as info points and learn more about using virtual library EUBOOKSHOP. Also, they attended the presentation of European programmes Creative Europe and IPA – cross-border programmes through which libraries can apply for EU funding.
