Every year, from 16 – 22 September, the European Commission’s flagship awareness-raising campaign on sustainable urban mobility invites towns and cities from across Europe, and beyond, to participate in the European Mobility Week 2023.
During the week, almost 3,000 towns and cities encourage behavioural change in favour of active mobility, public transport and other clean, intelligent transport solutions by organising awareness-raising activities and events with local stakeholders. The annual theme for 2023 is ‘Save energy’.
List of towns and municipalities participating in this year`s European Mobility Week can be found here. Traditionally, local communities are organising a car-free pedestrian day, promotion of low emission transport means, cycling, rollerblading, electric vehicles, workshops, exhibitions and other events.
The implementation of the European Mobility Week in Serbia is coordinated by the Standing Conference of Cities and Municipalities – the Union of Municipalities and Cities of Serbia and the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, which contributes to an even more massive celebration of the event in our local governments with the strong support of all relevant actors from the national level.
