As part of the European Mobility Week, the City of Niš, the Association of Cyclists “Karavan Tim” and the EU Info Point Niš are organising “The Parade of Niš Cyclists” on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

We invite everyone to join us in riding around the city alone or in the company of family members, friends, colleagues, teachers etc. With this activity, we want to encourage the use of bicycles in city traffic among all generations, draw attention to the importance of cycling for people’s health and the environment.

The gathering of participating cyclists is scheduled for Sunday, September 17 at 11 a.m. at Trg Kralja Milana, while the parade will start at 11:30 a.m. For the participation of children under 12, the presence of a parent or guardian is mandatory. The route is 8 km long and takes about 45 minutes of easy riding with the presence of marshals and traffic police who will take care of the safety of all participants.

The bicycle ride ends in Čair Park, where, upon the arrival of the cyclists from 12:15 p.m., a programme will be organised with various sports games led by our colleagues from the Children’s Sports Academy for all the participants of the parade, as well as for other interested passers-by and visitors to the largest city park.

In case of heavy rain and bad weather, the event will be postponed. The information about possible postponement due to bad weather can also be found on the Facebook page of the EU Info Point Niš.
